To me, writing is only simple in terms of definition. At its exterior, it’s a major form of communication, a way to express a thoughts onto a page. It’s a necessity, an important tool for life. It’s when one starts adding purpose to writing is when writing gains its complexity. That’s how it’s developed over the years, accommodating the purpose of every individual, of every era.
Today, writing has accomplished its most complex stage yet. There are many different ways to approach writing, each purpose with their unique set of rules and etiquette. Propelling forward, writing will continue to develop just as it has before, adapting to the changing times. As digital media continues to develop, appropriate writing techniques will develop alongside it. Social media has played a heavy role in that development, aiding the decline of print writing in favor of digital. Everything now is fast paced, condensed, and readily available for the masses. Judging from this, writing will continue to do that and will continue to exist.
